Music update

There is a ton of good music lately. I'm not even joking. If you're not listening to any music you really have no excuse, and I'll tell you why:

Jenny Lewis released a solo album. It's every bit as good as you'd expect if you like mournsome lyrics and old country/gospel-ish stylings. It's been dominating my ipod like you wouldn't believe.

Cold War Kids also put out a new record. It's not as good as their debut but it's still Cold War Kids, which are inherently awesome.

Copeland just recently announced a new album that's coming out next month and you can hear a streaming song on Spin.com. If this track is any indication of the rest of the album it's going to blow their last three out of the water. I could seriously listen to this all day (and I have).

There's a girl with a really pretty voice who makes a guest appearance on that song, and her name is Rae Cassidy. Her music is adorable and she needs to release an album. If you like Eisley I bed you'd like her music, too.

Anberlin has generously put their entire new album streaming on their myspace site. Free music, dude! I'd hit that. If you don't check it out, that's ridiculous. It's like refusing a free cheeseburger, or slice of pizza. Who does that? The record hits the shelves fresh and piping hot on Tuesday.

Lovedrug is ALSO putting out a new album soon. They are an incredible band. But some of the lyrics on this one are kind of obscene which is dissapointing. Might wanna skip this one if that kinda thing bugs you.

There's probably more but that's just about all I can keep track of right now.
